Think intermittent fasting sounds ‘too hard’? These two women lost almost 30kgs – and say it was easy!
Diana and Shanna were at very different stages of life but they had one big thing in common: weight gain. They both had tried ‘everything’ to lose those unwanted kilos but nothing worked until one day they discovered intermittent fasting with SuperFastDiet and their lives officially changed.
Meet Shanna…
Shanna is a working mum and life for her was very busy, rushing around after two young boys and running her own business. Trying to lose weight made things harder, and by the time she found SuperFastDiet, she’d tried everything else to lose weight but nothing seemed to work long term.
Shanna said she found dieting and excessive exercising ‘unrealistic and unsustainable’ and felt depressed and unhappy.
‘I felt exhausted and depressed, stuck and hopeless. I was resigned to the fact that I’d never be the truly confident, energetic and fun person I used to be.’
Shanna’s aunt had joined SuperFastDiet and encouraged Shanna to give it a go. She’d lost over 20kgs on the intermittent fasting lifestyle and loved that she could still have a social life, enjoying wine and nibbles.
Flexibility sounded ideal to time-poor Shanna and she joined up, although she wasn’t convinced it would work for her.
‘I was sceptical that it would be another short lived attempt at losing weight and trying to get my old self back, but I thought what could I possibly have to lose at this point.’
Shanna says that, as it turned out, intermittent fasting was ‘just as easy and maintainable as my aunt and many others had made it sound.’
To her surprise and great joy, she lost 2.7 kgs in the first week.
It wasn’t just intermittent fasting itself that Shanna attributes to her early success. She says she found SuperFastDiet really flexible with its choice of three methods that you can mix and match.
‘I could quickly & easily adapt my diet to suit my busy mum/work life, make allowances for social events, prepare food within my cooking capabilities and all without spending hours in the kitchen or a fortune at the supermarket. ‘
Shanna has gone on to lose 12kgs and has dropped two dress sizes.
She says she’s losing the weight has helped her to ‘reclaim the energy & zest for life that I thought I’d lost forever. I’m no longer a spectator, watching the world carry on around me.’
Meet Diana…
At 67 years of age, Diana never thought she’d lose the excess weight she’d carried for years.
‘I had reached a point where I was fed up with yo-yo dieting and was resigned to believing that at 67, I would never lose weight at my age. I was in size 18 clothes galloping towards size 20. I felt frumpy and dour.’
Diana had tried everything to lose weight but could never sustain it.
‘I had tried so many things. High protein diets, magazine diets, various books, meal replacement, home delivery meals, gyms and a personal trainer. While they worked for a while, the boring and restrictive nature of many rendered them unsustainable. As soon as I stopped, the weight would creep back on.’
Diana’s health was suffering and her general outlook too.
‘I was always tired, lacked energy and felt my age. I hated that I couldn’t find nice clothes to wear. My weight was heading north. I don’t think I was fun to be around, and my stress levels were high.’
Then Diana saw SuperFastDiet on Facebook and decided to give it a try. Her daughter encouraged her, offering a coffee machine as an incentive if she lost 5kgs. Within 2 months, she lost 5.9kgs.

Diana went on to lose a total of 20kgs and is now wearing shorts for the first time since the seventies!
‘I walked into a dress shop last week and purchased a dress in size 10. Makes a change from Kaftan tops and loose fitting clothes!’
She says she is smiling more too and handling stress a lot better.
