The Daily Mail shows off Shelly’s amazing transformation in their new story – out today!
When Shelly Horton turned to intermittent fasting diet after trying everything imaginable to lose weight, she dramatically shed 13kg in just 17 weeks.
The Australian media personality – who struggled with her weight for most part of her life – had tipped the scales at 92kg.
Earlier this year, the 45-year-old looked stunning when she showed off her slimmer frame after her impressive weight loss.
But as she juggled the demands of her hectic work schedule, the television presenter admitted she recently put some weight back on.
Despite this, Shelly said she feels happier more than ever – as she proudly shared a photograph of herself posing at Muri Beach in the Cook Islands in a swimsuit.
‘Body image is such a tricky thing. To me it comes down to happiness. And I feel really happy at the moment,’ she wrote on Instagram.
‘I lost 13kg thanks to and it helped me feel happy that I was in control of my weight rather than it was controlling me.
‘I have put a couple of kilos back on over the past month because I have been working crazy hours.’
Keeping a positive mind frame, Shelly said she hasn’t let her weight gain deter her from enjoying life.
‘I’ve been kicking massive career goals and that makes me really happy. So for the first time I don’t feel panicked about the scales,’ she said.
Setting herself a goal, Shelly said she’s determined to undergo SuperFastDiet again – a weight loss program that saw her lose weight successfully.
‘I know after Easter I will get back on SFD properly and I’ll be on my way to reaching my goal weight. It’s a good feeling,’ she said.
‘So expect a few swimsuit shots because you can’t weigh happiness. Hope you’re happy too.’
Her latest Instagram post comes just months after she revealed she had gastric band surgery in a desperate attempt to lose weight – but the procedure simply didn’t work for her.
Shelly initially thought that the surgery would be worth it in the end but unfortunately she only lost two kilos in the first month.
Eventually, she turned to SuperFastDiet, which is based on intermittent fasting, where her weight started to fall off.
‘I have always struggled to lose weight, and honestly, I’ve tried everything, but I’ve never been able to achieve those miracle results like other people,’ Shelley said.
‘And because of that, I’ve felt like a big fat failure. And those were the words that I would use in my head: that’s how I would talk to myself.
‘I’m not even at my goal weight yet, and I’ve lost 13 kilos in 17 weeks.’
