Dietitian, nutritionist & SuperFastDiet contributor, Jaime-Rose Chambers featured on A Current Affair and 9Honey.
We are so proud to watch SuperFastDiet contributor Jaime-Rose Chambers spread the good news about intermittent fasting! Jaime-Rose has been interviewed for an A Current Affair segment on Channel 9. In the segment, she discusses how fasting for part of the day can have long-lasting weight loss benefits. The same story has also been featured online on 9Honey. Intermittent fasting is clearly taking Australia, and the rest of the world, by storm!
The part-day method is otherwise known as 16:8 because you eat in an eight-hour window most days of the week and fast for the other 16 hours. This means you might choose to skip breakfast or have an early dinner. The timing is completely up to you. For example, two popular eight-hour eating windows are between 12pm-8pm or 10am-6pm.
You can achieve radical weight loss results without feeling restricted like you would on another diet. Instead you simply change when you eat. That’s why we call it your new, unbreakable way of life!
Here is an excerpt from the 9Honey article:
“The 16:8 diet is already hyped as a weight-loss miracle, bolstered by claims you can eat whatever you want within that eight-hour feasting window without exercising, and still shed fat — but does it pass the test?
A Current Affair recruited two women to test 16:8: Natalie, who wants to lose weight to increase her chances of falling pregnant, and Kylie, a mum of two hoping to change her body composition ahead of a trip to Europe.
But does it deliver results? Both women were surprised by their results after 10 days trialling 16:8 — in the segment, accredited practising dietitian Jaime Rose Chambers suggests how to start the diet yourself.”

“I find skipping breakfast and keeping busy through the morning, then having just a lunch and dinner style meal works best for me. So, I’ll have meal one around 12-1pm, often a couple of mugs of tea through the afternoon and then meal two as a dinner meal with my husband at night,” she says.
