We have heard many ladies ask us recently, ‘Can I join now and start after Christmas… or this upcoming birthday weekend… or after my vacation?’ Absolutely we say! But we also want our members and community to know that this is why SuperFastDiet was born in the first place; a flexible and sociable way to lose weight and keep it off! There was a gap in the market for a program that allowed for simply being able to enjoying life with loved ones, eating your favourite food and drinks. Check out our top tips on how to maintain your healthy habits whilst still socialising!
1. Keep up your water intake
This is a tip you will probably see in every single healthy habits-related list ever. We are sorry – not sorry, because H2O is just so crucial for overall, consistent health and wellness. Whilst you are consuming your eggs or enjoying your long lunch, make sure you don’t forget to keep hydrated. Keep a bottle with you, or always ensure your water glass is topped up! Your body and your mind will thank you for it.
2. Enjoy your celebrations (but don’t overdo it!)
Just because it is a birthday or a foodie holiday, it doesn’t mean every meal should consist of only cocktails or burgers and nothing else. Don’t get us wrong – this sounds very tempting, but just because these type of goodies are more accessible in these kind of social instances, it doesn’t mean it should overtake your normal healthy consumption. By all means, don’t feel the need to count your calories to a tee because we are all about #noguilt. This is a part-time diet, remember? But, as often as you can recognise that your body will be grateful in terms of your health and weight loss goals, but also your energy and mental health when you are still focusing on whole, healthy foods as often as possible.
3. Keep up your ‘healthy plate’ method
Keep up those healthy plate method meals as often as you can. If this is a new concept to you, let us explain! It is such a super simple and effective portion control tool to ensure you provide yourself with a balanced, colourful and wholesome spread for each meal. It takes the guesswork out of ‘is this a healthy meal?’
Think half a plate of vegetables, a quarter of a plate as carbohydrates and a quarter of a plate of lean protein! Seems simple enough right?

4. Be aware of ‘bringing a plate’
Big family and friend get-togethers are great, right? They are some of the best parts of the weekend or holidays filled with fun, laughter and plenty of fabulous food and drinks. The main point to remember during these occasions is not to be overwhelmed and scared off by the ‘everyone brings a plate’ type spreads. Instead, know that you won’t offend anyone if you have minimal and you go for the healthier options. Make your plate a nice healthy and delicious one, or if you yourself are the host with the most, go for wholefood-based goodness like big salads, lean protein like seafood or some delicious fresh desserts like fruit platters. The options are endless!
5. Simply… be kind to yourself!
Life is for celebrating, which includes, of course, delicious food and a beverage or two! Too much restriction ultimately leads to worse off decisions. These family holidays, drinks with the girls and weekend BBQs are always memorable. SuperFastDiet is a non-restrictive, lifestyle diet which means you can go to these events without having to think about every single thing that you consume. Our best tip – don’t do a fast day on the weekend… winning!
