If you are anything like us, sweet treats are a must! It is hard to not get too tempted by all the deliciousness you can find out there, but how do you fit it into a diet? We’ve got you!
The following 8 goodies are some of our absolute favourite low-calorie sweet treats that you can enjoy everyday guilt-free, including a fast day!
Yoghurt Tub
Yoghurt tubs are great as a quick, on-the-go, sweet snack at any time of day! One of our favourites is the Chobani Fit range of tubs. They are so convenient and generally range from just 92 calories, depending upon your chosen flavour. An added bonus is the fabulous health benefits, with yoghurt being full of probiotics, which are great for your gut, and calcium, which we know keeps those bones nice and strong!
Ice Cream or Frozen Yoghurt
There are plenty of ice creams and frozen yoghurts on the market that might surprise you with how low the calories are! Halo Top and Tilly’s ice creams are famous for being extremely low cal, with a whole range of classic flavours. Halo Top’s whole tubs range from 240 – 360 calories, and their sticks are just 80 – 110 calories. Tilly’s tubs are slightly cheaper and range from 275 – 320 calories. Delish!
Paddle Pops are an Aussie childhood favourite, right? Maybe it is time to buy a pack and share them with the kids because the banana and chocolate flavours are only 71 calories each. How impressive is that?! The famous rainbow flavour is a little more at 95 calories.
If you’re more of a frozen yoghurt fan, why not try Twisted Healthy Treats mini tubs, at only 75 – 95 calories per tub, or grab a larger tub, being 285 – 300 calories. Bulla’s Frozen Yoghurt Sticks are also great, coming in a pack of summery, fruity flavours and are just 75 calories each.
Dark Chocolate
It is no secret that we here at SuperFastDiet absolutely love dark chocolate. Apart from being delicious, it is actually a SUPERFOOD, being full of antioxidants. The brands Lindt and Moser Roth, which is available at Aldi, have a whole range of delicious flavours to tickle a whole range of fancies. Lindt is on average 112 calories per serving, and Moser Roth is about 125-150 calories per serving.
Another recent favourite of ours is the Coles No Sugar Chocolate, which is only 54 calories per serve and comes in little individual packets, making them perfect for portion control! Impressive, right?
Chocolate or Salted Caramel Covered Rice Cakes
Rice cakes are a big favourite in the SFD office. But, here we mean the chocolate covered type! Yep – they exist AND are so scrumptious. Table of Plenty is the smart brand behind this amazing combo, and at only 17 calories a rice cake – or 74 calories per serve – the biggest worry is stopping yourself eating the whole packet!
OR why not easily make your own, by simply melting chocolate and dipping rice cakes in!
Choc Chip Covered or Stuffed Berries
Chocolate and berries have forever been one of the best combinations out there. So why not stuff some deliciously juicy raspberries with your favourite choc chips, coming in at approximately 74 calories for 20! Or simply melt a bit of chocolate and dip fresh strawberries in and enjoy melted or frozen!
Bliss Balls
We absolutely love bliss balls, as you can fit a tonne of delicious superfoods and make them any flavour you like! We have a few in the SuperFastDiet recipe library, making it very hard to choose favourites. But, it is pretty hard to go past our Hazelnut, Raspberry & Chia Bliss Balls. You can find the recipe by clicking here!
How gorgeous do they look? And at just 86 calories per ball, you can’t really go wrong!
Hot Chocolate
Coming into the winter months, hot chocolate is an awesome go-to to satisfy that post-dinner sweet craving, whilst keeping you toasty and warm too. There are a few low or no-sugar options that we love with Jarrah and Avalanche being two of our regulars. Jarrah is 46 calories for a sachet and Avalanche’s are 8 calories per serve! How good is that?
Jelly
Jelly is an absolute go-to with us here at SuperFastDiet, for when you want that sweet treat sensation with almost none of the calories! Aeroplane Jelly Lite is our go-to, with only 8 calories per serving, you can afford to go a little crazy with this sweet treat!
