We know fasting is good for us. In fact, we love fasting! But sometimes, fast day feels get the better of you. And it’s nice to know that someone else understands. Because fasting is tough. And sometimes even when you’ve been doing it for a while, the struggle gets too real.

And for a little while, all is well with the world. And you’re feeling pretty darn proud.
Then hunger pangs return. And your mind and your belly have a little bit of an argument.
But before you know it, you’ve distracted yourself until it’s time to eat again.
And while you’d probably prefer something other than what you’ve got…
You also know that fasting gives you a new appreciation for simple things. Like salad. And soup.
So even when hanger hits hard.
When work seems impossible…
And relating to people even more impossible
Even when the road seems impossibly long.
The hanger is unbearable
And you think you might fast fail.
You manage to pull yourself back from the brink.
Because you know you can do this.
And you know it’s SO worth it.
And before you know it, the finish line is in sight.
And you suddenly realise that you actually did it.
And that it wasn’t that hard after all. And also that your jeans are a little looser today.
Fast days sure are challenging. And they certainly give us so many feels. But even the smallest win is a big victory because fasting makes you healthier in SO many ways.
