What are you watching?
I’m watching as much comedy as possible, especially re-runs of The Office and Seinfeld which always make me laugh. I’ve also been watching movies as research for my new novel (I’m an author too.) The Big Chill and Big Wednesday both got a re-visit over the weekend. I enjoyed them both but they were so dated it did make me laugh, especially the eighties style hair in The Big Chill. I’m looking forward to watching all the movies I missed over the past few years now, with popcorn and a glass of wine.
What are you reading?
Well, I’m actually writing because I need to get twenty thousand words over to my publisher for the new book so I guess I’m reading myself as I go along. Ha! Other than that, I’m looking forward to Marion Keyes new novel Grown Ups and Racheal Johns Just One Wish.
What are you listening to?
My teenager’s loud rap music – not by choice lol. Other than that, I tend to listen to the radio a lot but the news can wear you down right now so I’ve been listening to nineties surf rock as that’s the era I’m writing about. Mostly Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Pearl Jam and The Offspring.
What are you cooking?
Hearty and healthy is my motto right now. Big chicken and veggie soups that boil away all day with fresh herbs and garlic, cottage pie with about nine veggies in there to up the nutrition, slow cooker chilli con Carne and other family favourites that can suit everyone whilst upping their immunity as best I can. I go low on carbs and big on veg to keep my calories down and am on part-day, most days.

What are you cooking?
I’m really scrambling at the moment tbh – between working from home and homeschooling 3 children, there’s been a lot of fending for yourself in the meal department!! Oops!! But my plan this weekend is to batch cook and stock up the freezer – soups, casseroles, spag bol… that kind of thing and then we can just heat and serve at the end of each day. That’s the current plan anyway!
We hope you got some inspiration and a bit of a look into our current go-to’s at this crazy time!
